my final blog

The central idea for all of my concentrations is chess. throughout the past year i have been making concentrations about chess and they have all been evolving. At first i started taking pictures of people just playing chess and then i expanded my view on chess like my 11th and 12 concentration both show extraordinary development. My number 11 is showing the game from a different point of view.... like a soldiers, and my 12 concentration  shows on someone is playing the board... controlling both sides so that no matter what they win. and the people being controlled have no idea that  they are being used.

my 9th and 10th concentrations

for my 9th and 10th concentrations i made them a bit different. for my 9th concentrations i took some put some of my friends on a chess board showing that they are each just trying to find their on way like pieces on a chess board. and for my 10th concentration i took a picture of a knight and showed my friend in side of it portraying that no matter how one looks on the outside they are the same as you on the inside.

my 7th and 8th concentration

my works are evolving for my 7th concentration work i got an idea from playing mario. i saw how the hands were controlling almost both sides and then i thought that is would look really cool. So on my 7th concentration i showed a pair of hands controlling both sides of a chess board. and for my 8th concentration i replaced the chess pieces with people to show how in the run of things people are just pawns

5th and 6th concentration

My artwork is evolving into using not just black white and red, but also green and other colors. in my 5th concentration my work develops more in the coloring sensation and the assortment of all the colors, the background is my favorite in this piece because it took me forever to get it to look that awesome. in my 6th concentration my focus is more on changeing the usual colors then the flow of the artwork, the green and white really brings everything out. i have been playing mario and i want to try creating an artwork that makes it seem that one side is controlling everything that 2 others are doing... like playing the board. also at this art show i went to recently i saw an interesting piece that had a man playing himself and is moving pieces that look like him..... i have an idea that i really want to try

3rd and 4th concentration blog

my art work was inspired by a Surrealist artist named Errico. The name of his work that inspired me is surrealist chess art. by seeing this artwork my artwork has begun to evolve from whole boards and many pieces of the game to just 1 main piece.

concentrations,and my second blog entry

All of my concentrations are based on chess. I chose this topic because chess is a sport that I really enjoy. so far i have only finished 2 of my 12 concentrations.  for my first 2 concentrations it can be clearly seen that chess is the main topic. they both feature friends of mine in the chess club. In one of the pictures I show my friend thinking about his next move. (In chess thinking and strategizing is the main point of the game). In the other picture i show my friend in the high point of a chess match. He is taking a piece of the opponents pieces hoping to gain an upper-hand in the game. in order to make these pieces i had to take a camera to the chess matches. Then after I had finished my match i took out my camera and started taking pictures of my friends playing the game. Then once I had 2 pictures that i liked i got them of the camera and started to photo-shop them. in the first picture i just turned the contrast in the picture all the up. In the second pictures i first cut out to piece i wanted to stay the same and then filtered the other part (i Liquified it).  i chose the biggest brush and went over that specific part of the artwork and then pasted the other part back on it. by doing this i gave the perspective that nothing but the chess pieces had the focus. kinda giving it the impression that nothing else except the chess match mattered. After that i turned the contrast up until i liked it. These artworks were inspired by my interest in chess and all the other works that i have seen dealing with photography. I intend to have my all my other concentration works deal with chess, and they too will have higher contrast levels

concentration project- sports in action

My concentration works will be about sports and how they are seen when they are in action. I chose this topic for my concentration works mainly because i thought that it would be very cool. My choosing of this topic was inspired by many things. It was inspired by my love of sports, my teacher, and all the cool things i have seen on the internet involving sports.

For my first topic i plan one using the sport chess. Maybe take a picture from a weird angle making everything look.... then i plan on using photoshop to make it look sexy

For my second topic i am planning on using soccer as my main idea. maybe take a picture and photoshop it to exemplify how someone who is taking a penalty kick sees everything

For my 3rd topic on plan on using basketball and then photoshopping the picture
